Long Time No Post!

Wow! I just decided to check out my blogs again I did not realize how long it has been since I updated my blogs! I sure hope you people weren't holding your breaths waiting on my next post?!? lol just kidding... but I will update ya on what has been going on so far with our little family.

We have been enjoying every second of parenthood and loving our lives together as a family! Daddy has been gone alot off and on here the past few months with underways and such although I was very glad that he got to come back home when I went into the hospital. Yea that's right I had a little stay in the hospital about the end of June.

I thought all of the terrible abdomen pain was appendicitis but turned out to be that a section of my large intestine was inflamed. So with about two days of antibiotics and NO FOOD, they decided to let me go home with all of us crossing our fingers that it didn't happen again or I was going to be dissected for the medical students to learn how to remove a portion of a person's large intestines...haha sarcasm of course! As bad as that sounds, they were more concerned with how high my blood pressure was, especially for my age, and were determined to figure out the cause before they released me from the hospital. Well an ultrasound and 50,000 questions later, they figured out that the cause of my high blood pressure is that God decided to loose a game of Operation while hard wiring my arteries in my mommy's tummy. Just a quick health lesson to explain: The aorta is the main artery that runs from your heart down to your kidneys where it splits to run to your left and right kidneys. As I commented a second ago, God decided to split my left artery a second time leaving me with two arteries running to my left kidney. If that is not weird enough, I guess he decided to make those arteries smaller than usual just to see what that would do. Turns out that causes high blood pressure in a girl that has never been to the doctor in her life other than to get a physical for sports! This is apparently so rare that doctor's do not have a name for it...lol lucky me! As of right now the blood pressure medicine is working wonders and keeping it down, but if that ever decides to stop working then I will have to undergo surgery to put a stint in my right artery and to reconstruct my two left arteries into a large one.

So our summer was quite eventful needless to say..lol! However, we have our baby girl's first birthday coming up soon so we are still planning all the party favors for that exciting/sad day!! Keep ya posted!!

New Family Pictures!

We decided to get some new family pictures done for Father's Day since Cassie is now alot easier to catch smiling on camera lol! We have tried out Walmart and Sears so we decided to check out JCPennys since our friends, The Lynch's, tried them the day before and they turned out great! A 50%off coupon is quite persuasive as well lol! Cassie did great at smiling and was a real ham with the camera which is out of the ordinary..haha. She didn't want to quite sit up until Daddy told her that she would sit up if her boyfriend, Hunter, was around and she sat straight up..haha! The other funny thing for the day was when we went to take pictures of just her. She didn't want to sit up by herself and was starting to get alittle fussy until we stood her up and then she started giggling, so we decided to see if she would stand up by herself leaning up against something like a stool. Surprisingly, she LOVED it and stood there for about 15min or so just hamming the camera up! That was the first time she has stood like that by herself and she was a champ! It helped too that the lady there was great with kids so it made Cassie super excited! They turned out super cute and I'm so glad we got them done! We will definitely use JCPennys again!

Fun in the Sun

Another day of fun in the sun.... but this time by the pool!! lol We all decided to hang out over at our apartment's pool instead of heading to the beach again since it was REALLY HOTT outside! The babies definitely didn't argue with that since they love the pool! lol I swear my little princess would layout there with me and tan if I gave her her keys and sippy cup lol. The Lynch's, the Low's, Salas and his new girl decided to join us for some great food and drinks by the pool! Can you say Strawberry Margaritas?! YEAH! After wearing the babies out by the pool, we went back to our place and grilled some burgers and shrimp again! The boys are such great chefs lol... at least they are great at the grill! Us ladies took care and played with the babies and as usual plenty of girl talk! Great times with great friends as always!!

Beach Bums

Well we finally got a chance to head down to the beach! Why is it when you live at the beach you rarely actually visit the beach? lol I guess it's just one of those things, but we had a blast! Our friends the Lynch's, Salas, and Kim all joined us for some awesome burgers and hot dogs thanks to the men maning the grill! lol How many men does it take to grill food on a grill? Apparently 3 in our case lol, but they were delicious regardless of the manpower!

We enjoyed the rest of the day relaxing on the beach while the babies rolled around on their beach towels. Cassie and Hunter did not care too much for the mushy sand and cold ocean water, but they had a ball cuddling and playing all day long! Needless to say they were wore slap out by the end of the day, but that made for happy parents lol! The boys of course played football and froze their balls off in the ocean and us ladies enjoyed the warm sun tanning and having our girl talks! A great time as always!! Hopefully more beach outings before it gets too hott outside this summer otherwise it's off to the pool we go! lol

Happy 1st Mother's Day!

Well if I must say so myself, I had a pretty great first mother's day weekend! It pretty much started friday night when Daddy got home from work after we had eaten dinner. We got our princess down to sleep for the night and decided to sit up and enjoy a few drinks while we played cards til 5am! lol Then Saturday, Daddy had softball practice at 12pm however he could not get out of bed so we pretty much laid around all morning lol. Then we had a blast hanging out with The Lynch's and The Low's the rest of the evening. It was great to just relax with some drinks with some great friends although we got our butts whooped by The Low's in pictionary lol. Of course the babies had fun as well since they always do lol. Cassie apparently loves The Lynch's little yorkie since she pretty much laughed her little booty off at him as he walked around outside..silly lady! Finally on Sunday, Cassidy and I relaxed most of the day while Daddy cleaned the whole house! It's so sexy to watch a man clean! lol I received a dozen red roses w/ a Mother's Day balloon and card from Daddy and a chocolate ice cream cake from my baby girl which was delicious! That evening we went out to eat at Outback, rented a couple of movies, and after we got our princess down for the night I enjoyed a foot and back massage from my amazing hubby! All in all, it was a great first mother's day weekend, but the best part is that I am blessed with the most beautiful baby girl in the world! Her smile lets me know I'm somebody's hero <3

Springtime Frenzy

WOW it has been a while since I have had a chance to sit down and do some blogging! Just a quick update on what this little family has been up to this past month... Daddy has been underway quite alot this month so we have taken advantage of this great opportunity to go visit family. So we took two weeks to head down to Fayetteville and visit our Memaw! Of course she loved getting to have sweet cuddle time with Cassie... don't we all! They had plenty of girl talks as Cassie has gotten very talkative here lately and it's even cuter with her animated facial expressions to boot. And what would a trip to Memaws be without a shopping trip! Like she needs anymore clothes lol... but we have to teach her to shop like us girls lol! It runs in the family lol. She also got to have alittle fun in the sun with her inflatable pool that I just had to try out just so I could see her in cute little bathing suit! lol She's my baywatch baby! *You can check out her blog for those pics* Although we had a great time getting away from home, Cassie does not travel very well so we have spent the end of the month relaxing and getting things done around the house. May will pretty much be the same except for the other way around. Can't wait for the family reunion for Memorial Day weekend!

I can't believe my baby girl is already 6 months old! She is growing up way too fast, but I fall in love with her over and over again every single day! Our One Year Anniversary!

We have officially been married for one whole year! It's hard to believe that we have already been married for a whole year, but I could not imagine myself with anyone else. He is my best friend, my lover, my anchor, the father of my children, and so much more! He never ceases to amaze me and always knows just the right things to do to make me fall in love with him all over again every single day! Of course this past year we've had our share of silly fights that we pick about now, hard times that brought us closer together (our baby girl in the NICU), stupid drama, and ignorant people, but we both know that at the end of the day we will always have each other and our beautiful daughter.

We have accomplished so much this past year and we have grown even more closer together, which we thought couldn't be possible, by the birth of our first child... our sweet baby girl, Cassidy Jo Kelly, who couldn't be any more perfect. He has definitely enjoyed being a fulltime father and I love to watch him with her just to see the unconditional love in his eyes and the warmth in his face. We have started our perfect little family and I never knew just how great it would feel to be loved unconditionally by the two most important people in my life, my husband and daughter! We can't wait to see what the future holds for us and to see our little family grow here in the years to come!

Be Mine my sweet Valentine!

I was very blessed this year to have 2 awesome valentines... my hubby and daughter of course! Our Valentine's day started out with heart shaped pancakes..yum! Then we went out for lunch and went to see a movie. We got to see Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightening Thief, which I will add was a very good movie! More movie stubs to add to our collection lol. Cassidy stayed awake for the whole movie and watched it quietly like the sweet baby girl she is! By the time we got home, Cassidy was pooped! So we exchanged valentines and put our angel to bed. Daddy gave Cassidy a cute little stuffed puppy that she LOVES and tastes just as good as her Munk Munk! lol Daddy was sweet enough to pick out a card from Cassidy and he gave me a romantic voice card with a sweet little recorded message inside. Cassidy and I gave daddy our cute little valentines cards and mine happen to be a small part of our romantic night together later. So after we got Cassidy to bed, my romantic hubby set up a sweet little area of rose petals and candles and other creative treats. I will leave the rest for imagination but I will say that we had a very romantic evening together that I will never forget.

I would have to say that this was one of the best valentine's days ever... well besides last year when he proposed lol! They have definitely stolen my heart and I could not ask for a more amazing husband nor a more beautiful and perfect baby girl! They are the loves of my life.... I could not ask for more, because I  alreadt have it all! I am truly blessed!

My 22nd Birthday!

Well as of Friday, February 12th, 2010 I am one more year older! I'm 22 but my family makes me feel like a kid again. I will start by saying that my amazing husband never ceases to amaze me! On my birthday, my hubby got me a much needed massage and a shopping day with Cassidy while he was a work. The massage was very much needed and our girls shopping trip was great. Saturday when the hubby came home, he surprised me with a night out to eat at a nice restaurant and dancing. He even got one of our friends to watch Cassie for the night. So we both got dressed up (btw its so cute when he dresses up cuz he constantly asks me what looks good and how his hair is and if he smells good...lol he's worse than a woman) and he took me to eat at the Cheesecake Factory! That man really knows the way to my heart..through my sweet tooth! lol We had an hour wait so we waited at the bar and had a couple of drinks before we enjoyed a delicious dinner. Then we headed over to the Banque, which is a country bar we like to go to for the pool tables and barn/line dancing. It was so much fun although I kinda wish he would've let us finish our games of pool a couple times before he decided to go slow dance..lol. Its so cute how he gets excited over certain country songs that come on and he pulls me out to the dance floor just to slow dance so he can sing it to me. lol He's my own personal country star! So we had a great time out dancing, playing pool, and enjoyed a couple of much needed drinks. It was great to get some alone time with my husband since he has had to work so much lately and since our angel has gotten home. I would definitely have to say the best birthday ever!

Trip to Memaws

Well this past week our wonderful Daddy had to go underway since they just got done with their ship inspection. We hated to have him gone for a week, but we made the best of it by taking advantage of this week to head down to memaws!! We had such a great time and as always Cassidy was such a good girl. She loved going shopping and out to eat. We went out to eat at Luigi's, which is my favorite italian restaurant in Fayetteville,NC, and just as soon as we had finished our lunch she start squirming because she wanted to have her bottle then and there. lol She said she wanted to eat out with the girls too! Aunt Ivy came to see us one afternoon and played around and caught up on all of our current drama as always lol. We had a couple of days of Girls Day Outs which are always the best. She got tons of clothes since she is now in 3month old clothes :(  and a few toys to start playing with now that she is so much more active. Mommy got a bunch of non-preggo clothes which was very much needed! Even Daddy got some goodies that we brough back for him!

I also got my birthday presents early. I got a Wii w/ Wii Fit & plus, a workout kit, super mario, storybook game for Cassidy, and Wii resort for me and daddy to play with. I also got a pretty brown NorthFace jacket which is so warm and goes great with all the new clothes! Memaw has always known my taste in clothes...and well my taste in everything really! We miss her oh so much and we will be planning more trips down when Daddy has to go underway again!

Daddy's Cake

Okay so I thought I would do something sweet...like the great wife that I am lol....and fix my beloved husband a cake just to say we love him. He has been working his butt off at work and working late hours so he hasn't had much time to spend with us and he texts me throughout the day to tell us he loves and misses us. I thought it was so sweet that he surprised me last weekend and took a few days of leave just so we could have 3 1/2 days to ourselves to spend time together as a family. It was really great and I loved every minute of it! He was really bummed to have to start back work yesterday and he dragged himself in the house at 12:30am after a LONG day at work. Poor baby was so tired and I fixed him a sandwich while he played with Cassidy before we all cuddled up to go to bed. It took him forever just to get out of bed this morning to head back to work by 6am. I felt so bad for him and so I decided to make him a cake just to show him how much we love him and appreciate all that he does for us! It is a white cake with white chocolate chips inside and chocolate fudge icing on top!
